My Journey

My research investigates accessible storytelling methods, with a focus on narrative structure, ADHD and fairy tales. Please get in touch if you would like to know more about my research, or if you would like to have a chat about neurodivergent accessibility!

Before my PhD i trained to be a Primary school teacher, and I hold QTS. Even earlier I trained to be a performer/actress in both my BA and MA degrees in Theatre and Performance.

I have a creative background and I am passionate about storytelling. My training in performance allowed me to interpret stories from an actor's perspective, whereas now I am interested in the theory behind stories, mainly their structures and how these can be influential in society. I am also passionate about access in storytelling, and in education.
